Tigard

Tigard homes and community

Welcome to Tigard. Offering a patchwork of 14 neighborhoods, each offering a unique blend of parks, trails, and schools. A revitalized downtown area with the renaissance of new businesses along Main Street. Here you will find unique antique shops, Bistros, and restaurants that come alive to welcome shoppers.

Tigard is located just 10 miles southwest of downtown Portland. Easily accessible from Interstate 5, Highway 99W, and Highway 217 makes Tigard an ideal location for its 45,000 residents. TriMet offers an easy commute option for many, and the WES system connects with light rail running east to downtown or west to Hillsboro’s tech center.

Tigard Festival of Balloons

Tigard participates in the Portland Rose Festival each year with its Festival of Balloons, providing a premier family event for the entire community. An incredible sight as hot air balloons take flight from Cook Park and circle the city.  This 79-acre park is the largest in Tigard and is located along the Tualatin River.

Recreation around Tigard include private and public golf course, many city parks, outdoor tennis courts and of course bike and walking paths. Both Summerlake and Fanno Creek Parks are a haven for waterfowl right in the middle of this suburban community.

Tigard Schools

Tigard’s 9 elementary, 3 middle, and 2 high schools offer quality education for our students.  Standardized state testing established benchmarks are required in grades 3, 5, 7, and 10.  Tigard/Tualatin district has met most benchmarks and continues to focus on 100% achievement.
